DBO: HOW UDUAGHAN STEPS INTO IMMORTALITY IN THE TOURISM SECTOR OF THE STATE
There is no doubt that Delta State has become one of the preferred tourism destination in the country. Each week, one conference or the other is taking place in the state capital. Professional bodies from all over the country easily turn to the state for their meetings, just as producers and artistes from all over Africa now troop to Asaba every week to produce movies. As part of the drive to diversi...fy the state economy, the Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan led administration is building the Delta Leisure Resort, the biggest of its kind in West Africa, at Oleri in Udu Local Government Area of the state. The park will be sitting on 250 acres of land and it will have a five star hotel, a three star hotel and a mini gulf course, shopping areas, cinemas, casinos and conference facilities.
The government is also developing another facility at Ogwachukwu that will have a game reserve. That too is on a 250 acres of land and it will contain all major animals in the world. This is in addition to the beautification of all major cities in the state to boost the state tourism potentials. Uduaghan's legacy is a legacy of prosperity that Deltans will live to remember.
