Amaechi insulted Patience Jonathan, he must be removed; she is my Jesus Christ – Honourable Bipi

The leader of the anti-Amaechi lawmakers in Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bipi, representing Ogu/Bolo constituency, has declared that he is spearheading the removal of Governor Rotimi Amaechi because he “insulted” the President’s wife, Patience Jonathan.

He further described the First Lady as his “Jesus Christ” on earth.‬

Mrs. Jonathan is Bipi’s political mentor and financier. It was learnt that the self-declared “speaker” is her cousin.

While being held from carrying out further violence during the fracas that erupted on Monday, July 8, the lawmaker retorted,“Why must he (Ameachi) be insulting my mother, my Jesus Christ on earth?”
“I have no mother, I have no father. She (Mrs. Jonathan) is my mother,” he said.

But the Rivers State Information Commissioner, Ibim Semenitari, denied the allegation saying on the contrary, her boss holds Mrs. Jonathan in high esteem.

“The Governor of River State holds the president in very high regards, as well as the First Lady, and therefore cannot insult any of them.

“She is a daughter of the state and is accorded the highest respect.”‬
